Virtual learning has exploded over the past two years and IAEI has worked hard at attempting to meet the ever-growing needs of the electrical inspector and professional from webinars, virtual meetings, zoom conferences, and even an online vlog. In July of 2021, IAEI was excited to partner with Thomas Domitrovich, vice president of technical sales at Eaton, to launch an online series of training and conversational videos called #IAEINewsLive on our IAEI Social Media platforms. From discussing upcoming 2023 NEC code proposals with code-panel experts to in-depth explorations of fuses and transformers, I believe these videos could become your new favorite.
Focusing on the continued growth of electrical safety, Tom sits down in every episode of #IAEINewsLive to discuss a variety of topics. Here are a few of the topics that have been covered so far this year!
- NEC 2023 First Draft
- NFPA 70B – Mid Cycle Review
- The TCC Curve (a 5-part series)
- Holiday Electrical Safety
- The Electrical Hazard
- Transformer Applications
- Grounding and Bonding
- Storm Recovery Services
- Incident Energy
- Arc-Flash Hazard Warnings
The video podcast is live every Tuesday at 11 p.m. CST and can be found on our YouTube Channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/IAEIInternational) or streamed live on our Facebook or LinkedIn channels as well. During the live events, Tom and his occasional guests work hard to answer any questions that you have regarding the topics covered that week. You can also view the videos after they have aired on our YouTube channel and if you still have a question, post it and we will happily get you an answer. We also have short videos from our online training videos called IAEI Shorts that provide 10-minutes or less long-videos on a variety of subjects.
In the future, we are also all working on gathering information for members-only content on our website with specific training videos. Please let us know if you have any NEC or CE Code-related topics that you’d like to listen to by going to https://bit.ly/iaeinewslive and we will work at providing more information on our channel. Please subscribe and hit that like button and we look forward to helping make this information easily accessible to our members and the electrical industry at large!
